Teknisk Ukeblad (tu.no), Norway's leading technical and engineering magazine, featured an article on ZEM and the battery installation on the Viking Energy.
The article, found here, discusses Eidesvik's innovative decision to hybridize its Offshore Supply Vessel, and the various challenges and advantages of implementing batteries on ships - notably the potential for up to 25% fuel savings.
But there are other advantages. As recounted in the article by Egil Mollestad, one of the ship's captain told him that using batteries on this 90m vessel was "like driving a Tesla."
